Before Your Junk Removal Appointment: What you Should (and Shouldn't) Do

Now that you've reviewed the top 10 things to toss, you're probably ready to call in the pros. The good news? With Patriot Clean Out, you don’t have to lift a finger — unless there’s a special circumstance.

In most cases, you do not need to move anything before your junk removal crew arrives. We’re trained and equipped to handle everything from deck demos to random yard debris. However, there are a few things we appreciate you taking care of ahead of time:

🐍 Check for wildlife or active nests. If you know there’s a wasp nest in that old grill or a family of raccoons under the shed, give us a heads-up.

💧 Turn off and disconnect utilities. If you're tossing an old hot tub, please make sure it's fully drained and any electrical components are safely disconnected.

💩 Clean up pet waste. It’s a backyard, not a biohazard zone. Clear any droppings to keep our team (and your yard) clean.

🌱 Mark any items you'd like to keep. If there's something in the pile that should not be hauled away, label it clearly.

🔐 Unlock gates or provide access. If we can’t reach the items, we can’t remove them - so make sure the path is open.
